Mission

Vision

• Connect: build a vibrant web3 community across major cities in the US, Taiwan with real life and online events where members can exchange ideas, support each other, build together
• Educate: create a brand with public free resources such as blog posts, podcasts, and tutorials that help people onboard onto web3 in both Mandarin or English
• Help: use our funds to help promote web3 in Taiwan such as co-organizing or sponsoring ETH Taipei or providing grants to students to attend the conference, or host hackathons
• Build: incubate cool projects and programs whether in NFT projects or IRL NFT galleries highlighting Taiwanese artists
• Share: Increase Taiwanese projects’ global awareness and reach outside of Taiwan and share Taiwanese culture with the world
• Invest: in Taiwanese projects and communities we support across NFT or DeFi
• Bridge: Work with different communities across web2 and web3 to further fulfill our mission and bridge the 2 worlds
• Sustain: Have revenue generating business models that are inline with our mission to sustain our growth and expenses

Values

• We operate transparently with everything on-chain and fully communicated
• We are non-profit, apolitical, charitable and altruistic, expenses that might not generate financial returns but help build the community are acceptable and expected (e.g. hosting events, sponsoring ETH Taipei). See our BZD Spending Guidelines for our strict budgeting requirements
• We are a non-profit DAO, we DO NOT maximize profit, we will need to generate positive revenue to fund operations, but maximizing profits is not the ultimate goal, our goal is to create communities and positive impact with our contributions

2. Membership

BZD requires active member participation to be successful. Having different tiers allows different levels of contribution and intentions. We want people to have skin in the game but also people from a bigger set of communities to join at lower cost.
